The Silverlake Music Festival in Pattaya, Thailand was a blast! It was my first ever festival outside Manila! I must say, props to the organizers of Silverlake. The festival was very well-organized! Manila should have something like this too!
Anyways, we didn’t catch the “Coachella vibe” of the festival since we got there around 8:30 pm already because we were only up for Incubus and their set was scheduled at 11pm. But I’m kinda regretting that a bit…oh well!

Another Incubus Encounter
By: Ella Orencillo
Last November 12, 2011, I had the privilege to watch Incubus for the 3rd time. The first 2 were in Manila, this time from the sunny and sandy city of Abu Dhabi. It was my first time to set foot in Yas Arena, and this would not have happened if I were not given a ticket as a birthday gift.
Let me tell you the story behind my luck. My boss bought a 2-day ticket for the Formula 1 race, which cost 1,800 dirhams (multiply by P11.00). He asked me to go and check the performers for the event. On day 1 was Britney Spears, day 2, the Cult and Incubus, and day 3, Sir Paul McCartney. My heart skipped a beat. He knew for a fact that I went home last July to watch Incubus at the Araneta Coluseum, and asked me if I was watching this one too. There is no way I would spend 1,800 dirhams to watch them again. That’s quite an amount. So, I comforted myself saying that I have seen them twice. And that there will always be a next time. I had accepted that I was not going to watch them. Fast forward to my birthday month, October. My boss handed me a greeting card and inside was the F1 Day 2 ticket, to see the race and to see Incubus! Had I known how to do cartwheels and not be awkward, I would have done it. Dancing was my second option but I am not good at it as well. So, I just smiled…so big that probably my molar teeth were showing.
Now, enough about me and let me take you to yet another night of making love with Incubus’ music.

July 28, 2011. It’s the big day of the big band at the big dome! Neither typhoon, nor Azkals football match could stop the fans from coming to see Incubus perform Live in Manila on their “If Not Now, When?” World Tour concert.
INCUBUS is an American alternative rock band composed of Brandon Boyd (vocalist ), Mike Einziger (lead guitarist), Jose Pasillas(drummer), Ben Kenney (bassist ) and DJ Kilmore. It was their 3rd time to rock the Philippines, but it was just my first time to see and watch them perform LIVE!

After the very successful Incubus Live in Manila concert, Atthewomb.com brings you our exclusive photos from the pit!
